A colourful sea of pink swept across the Deniliquin Pony Club grounds last Sunday, as horses and riders donned "pink" for their fundraising Show/novelty day
The day was a great success. The Club, competitors and spectators raised $1100 which will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Competitors travelled from Balranald, Hay, Tocumwal, Nathalia and of course Deniliquin. Many had decorated their horses and themselves with ribbons, coloured hairspray, food dye, pink clothes and even pink zinc. A sight to see!
The PINK fancy dress competition was a highlight of the day with many children and ponies dressed to impress. The 12yrs and under age group was hotly contested with Emma McCallum, Deniliquin eventually winning, dressed as PINK princess and riding her pony dressed as a PINK unicorn. Dynamic super hero duo of Meghan Campbell, Deniliquin and Sally Sweeney, Tocumwal paired together, and took out the over 12 age group. Both horses and riders dressed as PINK Super heroes.
